Our school promotes a multi faceted, vibrant K-6 Creative Arts Program. Creative Arts encompass the following strands:
Visual Arts
This diverse area is a component of every day classroom practice and specialist teaching. It includes 'hands on' creativity, painting, drawing, sketching, cutting, gluing, constructing and modeling.
Music
Teachers develop their own programs incorporating singing, percussion, staff notation and associated activities.
Senior Choir
The Choir is open to all students in Years 3-6 who wish to participate. Choir is held during school hours. The choir performs at school assemblies, school functions and community events. In the event that West Pymble is successful in their audition for the Opera House, the Opera House Choir shall be drawn from the Senior Choir after a strict audition process.
Dance Troupe
West Pymble dancers perform at intra-school functions, Sydney North Dance Festivals and various displays from time to time. The Dance Troupe is made up of senior students selected by audition. Children may choose to be part of the Senior Choir or Dance Troupe.
Band
Students in Years 3-6 have the opportunity to join the Band Program. The school has three bands that perform at school assemblies, school functions and community events. The Performance Band also competes in the Yamaha Festival. All bands participate in an annual Band Camp.
