P&C

West Pymble Public School P&C Association

Our Parents and Citizens Association (P&C) is a group of parent volunteers and other community members who work together to support our school community and maximise learning opportunities for students.

What does the P&C do?

The aim of the P&C is to –

-              Promote the interests of the school by bringing parents, citizens, students and teaching staff into close co-operation

-              Assist in providing facilities and equipment for the school and in promoting the recreation and welfare of the students at the school

Some of the ways we do this at West Pymble Public School are –

-              Fundraising for school facilities and equipment like learning resources for classrooms, new playground spaces and sustainability initiatives

-              Applying for grants funding to cover the costs of a specific project at the school

-              Hosting events throughout the year

-              Running the school canteen

-              Operating the second hand uniform stall

-              Overseeing the band committee

-              Organising school ground working bees

If you would like to find out more about the P&C check out our website here.

Who can join the West Pymble P&C?

Any parent or carer of a student at West Pymble Public School or any other person within our school community can become a member. We’d love to have you involved!

Why should I join the P&C?

Being a part of the P&C is a great way you can positively contribute to your child’s education experience.

The P&C is always looking for volunteers who can help, whether that be lending your expertise to a specific role or even just for a couple of hours assisting at an event.

Our P&C can only be as strong as the people we have behind it so we would love to have as many parents and members of our school community involved as possible. Plus if you’re a parent, your kids get a real thrill out of seeing you contribute to the school.

How do I join the P&C?

Everybody is welcome to volunteer for the P&C and attend our meetings however if you would like to vote on important issues you will need to be a member. It costs just 50c to become a member and general meetings are conducted twice a term. An Annual General Meeting is held at the end of every school year.  Please email secretary@wppspnc.com.au for more information.

Minutes of previous meetings can be found here.
