Our school

Established in 1963 West Pymble PS is a Kindergarten to Year Six public school located on the North Shore in Sydney. Tucked away on Apollo Ave, the school offers spacious grounds including a large oval, a facility well utilised by the school and community for sport and environmental activities. Our current enrolment is approximately 328 students, with a culturally diverse population. This provides an environment of rich cultures in which students from all different backgrounds can learn and grow. Students are well-behaved, respectful and supportive of each other.

A wide range of engaging programs are offered including dance, robotics and coding, performing and visual arts, public speaking, sports, chess, Project Based Learning, STEAM, French, film making and gardening pursuits. An active Learning Support Team closely monitors wellbeing and implements both learning support and enrichment programs. Our school has a strong community focus where staff, parents and the wider community work in partnership.

West Pymble PS is fortunate to have flexible learning space along with many partially converted classrooms, netball/basketball/tennis court, creative play spaces including a POD and adventure playgrounds amongst its leafy surrounds. A well established, quality before and after school care program accommodates the needs of our many working families. Our school values quality teaching and learning and is involved with the TLC (Turramurra Learning Community) for professional development and support.
